Meet Our Pediatric Provider Dana Rodriguez, PNP, PhD
Dana Rodriguez is our local pediatric provider. She was born and raised in Wisconsin, where she first attended the University of Wisconsin La-Crosse and earned a Bachelor degree in Spanish. From there she felt a calling to serve others, especially children. So, she returned to school and earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree in 2006 from Marquette University of Milwaukee and became a certified pediatric nurse practitioner. She later went on to earn her PhD in nursing from Marquette University where she served as a research assistant for the Institute of Natural Family Planning and studied the Marquette Method. She has been a clinical instructor for Marquette University as well as an adjunct professor for University of Phoenix.
Dana worked in private practice as a pediatric practitioner for several years and then started a school-based health clinic at St. Anthony School of Milwaukee, a school of 2,000 children in one of Milwaukee’s most medically underserved neighborhoods. She and her family moved to Arizona in 2016 and she worked the past few years in Maricopa and Casa Grande at a rural community health center. As a parent herself, she is passionate about partnering with parents to meet the healthcare needs of their children.
Dana and her husband Zeus were married in 2005. Dana, Zeus, and their children attend St. Anne’s Parish here in Gilbert.
